This is my first time asking a question on Stack Exchange, so if I've posted my question in the wrong forum or format, please let me know.

I'm trying to upgrade my laptop's wireless card. The card that I currently have says in the specs that it has a 1x1 antenna. I want to replace it with a much newer card with a 2x2 antenna. As far as I can tell, the connections on both cards look the same, so it seems like this ought to work. Is it possible to make this switch?

If so, is it something that I can do myself after watching some Youtube videos, or is it better to let a professional do it. (It doesn't look too hard to me, but I don't want to break something.)

Thank you so much in advance for your time and help!
